MOLLY LOWE

"A hundred-odd soft, fleshy sculptures hang from the ceiling or on freestanding PVC pipes as if at a Surrealist morgue or rush-hour subway in Hell. The vaguely humanoid forms recall Hans Bellmer's contorted dolls and pencil-drawn perversions of Pierre Klossowski, but Lowe also includes little eyeballs on suspensory string, as if the parts were not independent but merely dislodged from their bodies. Lowe also slips little bits of personality into her macabre installation, from hair and scars to a Cupid tattoo. "
